RamZone Covers The 2010 NTEA Work Truck Show
Posted on March 5th, 2010 by Ram ZoneFor those of you actively involved in the commercial truck segment, you’ve probably already marked the National Truck Equipment Association’s Work Truck Show on your calendar. For the rest of you loyal truck users who won’t be able to count yourself amongst the masses at the Work Truck Show, RamZone is preparing to be your official source for all the new, Ram-spec goodies that will be presented at the show. Ordinarily we’d encourage you to check it out for yourselves while we down a can of easy cheese from the comfort of our recliners, but unfortunately the show is closed to the public and thus largely inaccessible for most of you Ram fans. So, although we deeply cherish our downtime in the man cave, the idea of leaving Ram loyalists in the dark is simply unacceptable and to ensure that you stay updated on all the newest Ram-spec gadgetry hitting the market, we’ll be schlepping out to St. Louis, Missouri next week to cover the show live.
If you’re good, we might even bring back The Shat’s autograph.
Watch the Yeti Custom Truck Demolish Winter
Posted on January 25th, 2010 by Ram ZoneHere’s a video to cheer up anyone who’s already sick of winter’s wrath. Using a modified Ram 3500 Cummins diesel, 76-inch tractor tires, Unimog portal axles and a Samson machine, fabricator Rex Bailey built his Yeti custom truck (named after the abominable snowman) in 2007 to conquer up to three feet of snow like it was nothing. As the video shows, with that much clearance, the Yeti makes shoveling a thing of the past — if you’ve got the spare time to build one.

Show Us Your Trucks!
Posted on January 5th, 2010 by Ram ZoneRemember how we asked you to submit photos of your Ram to our Flickr pool, and said we’d post our favorites to this page? Well, if you haul your eyes down and to the right on this page, you’ll see our pick of 20 great shots of your trucks, posted here for the world to admire in slideshow form. But there’s more: We want to tell the stories behind your Ram’s excellent adventures. In the comment box below, tell us in 100 words or less why you, of all people, deserve to be profiled on this site as our Ram Owner of the Week. Be convincing, be devoted, be honest — but above all, be entertaining when you tell us what your Ram has done to go above and beyond (or through, or over, or around) the call of duty. The best story of trucking glory will win RamZone immortality.
Ram Engineers Hit the Road for a Real Focus Group
Posted on December 17th, 2009 by Ram ZoneHow do the people who build your Ram decide what features and improvements a new model needs? Instead of relying on studies, statistics, and claims of competitors, Ram engineers hit the road to actually sit in the truck with real working men and women, as you can see in this video from Talladega.
“What really makes me proud is that we focus on the customer,” explains Scott Kunselman, Ram’s Senior Vice President – Engineering. “Our engineers realize that the customer is what makes the most difference.” Especially when they’re willing to airbrush the Ram logo on their heads…

Chat with Ram Engineers in the Dec. 8 Cummins Forum
Posted on December 7th, 2009 by Ram ZoneGot a question for a Ram or Cummins engineer? Well, now’s your chance to hear from the guys who built the 2010 Ram Heavy Duty and the 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel, one of the cleanest, most powerful diesels on any commercial pickup. Whether you want to know about different transmission options, the benefits of the diesel exhaust brake, or anything else Cummins-related, the engineers will be answering your questions tomorrow. Click here to post your questions in advance between now and tomorrow afternoon. Then check back on Tuesday, December 8, between 5:30 and 7:00 pm Eastern, to be a part of the conversation. If you aren’t a TDR subscriber, don’t worry — the good folks hosting the forum at Turbo Diesel Register have waved the subscription fee to allow non-members to participate.
