We knew we were making a great truck, and you Ram owners out there have certainly been generous with your praise, but now we’ve got a shiny new award to put up on the mantle just in time for the holidays: No less prestigious an authority than Motor Trend has just named the new Ram Heavy Duty its 2010 Truck of the Year (you can read their article here). A couple of changes for the 2010 are obvious — the key difference, of course, is that customers now have the option of a crew cab for added passenger room and comfort. But Senior Manager of Ram Vehicle Development Kevin Mets also explains in this video how making the grill larger and more prominent was not just an aesthetic decision to make the truck more visually striking, but also a change that improved the truck’s performance.
